Masterbatch (English name Masterbatches) full name plastic masterbatch, alias masterbatch is a plastic processing aid developed in the 1980s, it is composed of excess chemical additives, carrier resin and dispersant. The masterbatch is an aggregate obtained by uniformly superabsorbing a pigment (dye) in a resin. Masterbatch means that in the process of plastic processing, for the convenience of operation, various additives, fillers and a small amount of carrier resin are mixed and kneaded first, and then metered, mixed, melted and extruded through an extruder or the like. The pellets obtained by the processing such as cutting and pelletizing are called master batches. The masterbatch consists of a carrier resin, various fillers and various auxiliaries. The limit of the auxiliary agent in the masterbatch or the content of the filler is several times to ten times higher than the amount required in the actual plastic product. In the molding process, the ratio of the masterbatch to the matrix resin must be adjusted according to the content of the relevant components in the masterbatch and the amount to be added in the actual product. Masterbatch can usually be divided into ordinary filler masterbatch (referred to as filler masterbatch) and functional masterbatch, such as masterbatch, anti-fog masterbatch, etc.
