The effect of wax on masterbatch production
Pv:0
The use of wax is very extensive. There are non-woven fabrics, wood-plastic waxes, and automotive glazing waxes. In addition, inks and waxes are common. From the chemical properties of waxes, we can understand that wax can still be used among the pigments. Let’s talk about the effect of increasing the proportion of polyethylene wax in the production of masterbatch.
The amount of polyethylene wax is excessive, and the melt activity of the masterbatch is large, which will make the external smoothing effect in the process increase, thereby weakening the shearing effect of the machine and the melt, and the pigment; When the particles are in the melt, refinement and dispersion effect are greatly reduced, resulting in uneven distribution of the pigment in the product, the pigmentation strength of the pigment is low, and the coloring quality is affected.
In addition, excessive participation will make processing difficult, affecting the size of the finished product and making its mechanical function low. In the preparation of the masterbatch, the polyethylene wax is used as a dispersing agent ,on the one hand, to wet the pigment particles so that the pigment is easily dispersed; on the other hand, the entanglement of the polymer component chain is reduced, and the polymer component chain is smoothed and speed up the activity of polymer molecules, thereby improving the processing activity of the blend.
