The
white masterbatch seems unfamiliar but indeed familiar to many people. Almost
everyone has used it. It has bright color, high color strength, good
dispersion, high concentration, good whiteness, and strong hiding power. It is
widely used in injection molding, blowing molding, drawing, casting, extrusion,
blown film, foaming, sheet, pipe, pumping, hollowing molding, EVA, blowing
molding, sheets, such as household appliances, toys, packaging materials, wires
and cables, plastic bags, automobiles, building materials, sports and leisure
products, packaging bags, bottles and other plastic products.
How to identify the quality of
white masterbatch?

masterbatch meets the above criteria, it can be judged that the white
masterbatch is of good quality.
Precautions when using white
masterbatch
1. In
order to reduce the color difference of the fibers after color matching, the
white masterbatch shall be diluted to control the mixing ratio. The filaments
shall be no less than 3% to 10%, the staple fibers not less than 1% to 3%, and
the monochrome expanded continuous filaments are spinned with three-color
equipment, the white masterbatch must be fed into the extruder after mixing. At
the same time, to increase the mixing capacity of the melt itself, a mixing
device can be added to the extruder section.
Second,
white masterbatch mixing method is that after determination of the color silk
color formula, the white masterbatch is evenly dispersed in polypropylene
before spinning, which is the key to ensure product quality. There are two
types of concrete mixing methods, one is the weight
method and volume method. After the white masterbatch is melted in the extruder
or in the back of the extruder, it is injected into the polypropylene melt with
a small extruder and the uniformity is very good.
Third, when choosing white masterbatch, according to
the selection of the scope of use. Polypropylene masterbatch is divided into
fine denier and coarse denier, coarse denier white masterbatch color can not be
used for fine denier color. When spinning color, should consider the denier of
the monofilament of the fiber, choose the same level of white masterbatch.
Fourth, the chosen
white masterbatch must be better from the same manufacturer's products, in
order to reduce costs high concentration white masterbatch should be selected. Pigments for white
masterbatch have high, middle and low grades. When matching colors, white
masterbatch of different grades should be properly selected according to the
quality requirements of fiber-forming. In
order to avoid the quality variation of the finished fiber caused by the different
light and thermal stability of the pigment, in the color matching should choose
the white color of the masterbatch that have the same level of light and heat
stability and meet fiber quality requirements,
and the concentration required for the coarse fiber is lower than the fine
