The classification method of general color

1. Classification by carrier resin:

and other industries, the use of color masterbatch is more and more extensive,
but as the demand for color masterbatch is greatly increased, the manufacturers
of color masterbatch are getting more and more, and the quality of color masterbatch
is also increasing. So how do we distinguish between good and bad color masterbatch?
Dedicated masterbatch: It is a masterbatch made of
the same type of plastic specified by the user for the finished product, using
the same plastic as the carrier. For example, PP masterbatch and ABS
masterbatch respectively select PP and ABS as carrier.
General-purpose masterbatch: using a resin (each
of which is a low-melting PE) as a carrier, but it can be used for coloring
other resins than its carrier resin.
Most of the internationally regular masterbatch
companies usually do not produce universal masterbatches.
There are many disadvantages to the universal
masterbatch. In fact, the general-purpose masterbatch has a narrow 'general'
category, and its skill indicators and economic benefits are also poor.
1. Poor predictability of coloring results
The masterbatch is used for coloring, and the
pigment of the universal masterbatch will have a different color in the
different plastic, so the coloring result is less predictable.
2. Affect other properties of plastic finished
products
In particular, the strength is affected, and the
product is easily deformed and twisted, which is more remarkable for
engineering plastics.
3. The cost is higher
In order to be roughly 'universal', the universal
masterbatch often uses a higher heat-resistant grade of pigment, resulting in
waste.
In addition to coloring, can the masterbatch have
the effects of flame retardant, brightening, antistatic, anti-oxidation and
anti-ultraviolet rays?
Masterbatch can have some of these effects at the
same time, if the workshop asks for this.
Occasionally, although the customer did not ask
for it, the masterbatch company will also initiate the user to add some
additives depending on the necessity of the product, such as the growth of
certain additives such as brighteners in the masterbatch. Of course, this will increase
the cost of the product.
