The reason why PP fillers cause poor plasticization
Pv:0
PP filler is made of high-quality ultra-fine
calcium carbonate as the main raw material, mixed with various additives such
as carrier resin and dispersant, lubricant, coupling agent and modifier, and
fully mixed by high-performance twin-screw extruder and under refining, extrusion
and granulation. Nowadays, PP filler is a very common filler material in the
production of plastics and has a very wide range of applications. However, with
the continuous use of PP fillers, we also found a problem. When adding a
certain amount of filler masterbatch directly into the PP pellets to produce
injection products, the PP fillers are not well plasticized, and the surface
has white spots, which is very obvious that this material comes from the filler
masterbatch.
The use of PP fillers has
a phenomenon of poor plasticization, which has many constraints on the
development of PP fillers. In order to solve this problem, the continuous
research of PP filler manufacturers showed that it is likely to be the quality
of fillers that caused poor dispersion.
There are currently five
common methods for changing this problem. Increase the injection temperature of
PP, and increase the decomposition temperature of PP at a safe temperature of
about 300 degrees to increase the back pressure. The filler masterbatch with lower
mesh should be used, the mesh may be the cause of uneven packing dispersion. A
relatively low mesh has better dispersion. Add some lubricating dispersant and
improve the production process. If the requirements for filler masterbatch are
relatively high, it is recommended to use the transparent filler masterbatch on
the market, the effect will be better.
The problems caused by PP
fillers require further research until the problem can be solved very
effectively. The development of PP fillers requires strong technology as
support, and problems are solved in a timely manner, so as to promote the
continuous advancement of PP fillers.
