The current mainstream black masterbatch production equipment is mainly based on twin-screw extruder. The common black masterbatch production process is: batching, mixing, and extruding, strip forming, cooling, cutting, packing. The defect of the appearance of the masterbatch product is a major problem of quality, which may be caused by the production process of the masterbatch, the quality of the raw material of the masterbatch, the production equipment of the masterbatch, and the production environment.

  Question 1: The black masterbatch has a long strip. A length 2 times larger than normal particles is considered to be a long strip. The main reasons are the direction of the starting strip or broken strip is not straight, and the granulator is worn or notched.

 Solution:
  1. Adjust the direction of the strip entering the pelletizer and adjust the length of the water during normal production.
  2, the production of broken strips need to be tempered.
  3, pay attention to the inspection of the apricot cutter, and replace the damaged knife in time.
  4. For the long strips that appear, a suitable vibrating screen should be used and sieved.

  Question 2: The black masterbatch appears to be granulated. Two or more particles joined together side by side as a granule. The main causes are broken bars and insufficient length of water.

  Solution:
  1. When extruding the strip, use a strip of the appropriate width to separate the strips that are connected together.
  2. Adjust the appropriate cooling water length, that is, reduce the continuous granules.
  3. For the occurrence of continuous granules, those can be sieved with a suitable sieve.
